A pop-up window (also known as a dialog box) is a type of window that enables specific communication with the user, and these pop-ups usually present details that the user edit or configure.. The figure below displays a pop-up window that appears in front of the main window. This user is editing a material line on a work order, having double-clicked on the oil filter line in the main window (blue box highlight). This double-click causes the Material Line pop-up window to appear (red box highlight), in which the user can review and edit the detail information for the line item.
