Within many features, it's possible to work on multiple tasks together. For example, you may have a couple of work orders open, and at the same time that you're working on a purchase order. Each of these tasks is accessible by its own tab. The concept is very similar to the tabs feature within an Internet browser.
In the figure, there are three sets of tabs. The first is at the very top of the window, and contains Home, General, and Service Package. The next set of tabs can bee see below the ribbon in red highlighting.
Some features contains additional tabs that appear near the bottom of the screen (see the blue highlighting in the figure above). These tabs belong to a work order, and will appear and disappear as the user moves in and out of the work order..
You can switch tabs using any of the following methods:
Click on a tab to switch focus to that tab.
Click the small drop-down arrow in the upper-right (shown in green highlighting above) to see the entire list of tabs. Then, click on the tab that you want to see.
On the keyboard, press CTRL + TAB to switch to the next tab.
To cycle through all of the tabs, hold down CTRL and successively press the TAB key. Release both keys when you reach the tab that you wan to see.
You close tabs using any of the following methods:
Click on the X at the end of the tab
Right click on the tab and choose close from the context menu
CTRL + F4 to close the current tab.
Click and hold on the tab, then drag the tab to the desired position and release the mouse button.
Create a group: Right-click on a tab, and choose to create a new horizontal or vertical group.
Move tabs between groups: Right-click on a tab and choose to move the tab to another group. Or, click and hold on the tab, and then drag the tab to the desired group and release the mouse button.
